Product description

Mica powder:

It is a mineral with two important properties (thermal resistance and high electrical resistance) that is used in various industries such as thermal and electrical insulation. Mica is a group of complex compounds of hydrated aluminum silicate and alkali metals, all of which are hydroxyl compounds, and most of which contain one or more other elements such as iron, magnesium, lithium, and fluorine. The main minerals of mica group are muscovite, phlogopite, biotite, lipdolite, among which, muscovite and phlogopite have more economic value.
This mineral is obtained from igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks. The main mica used in industry is a type of muscovite that is found in abundance in nature and has excellent electrical properties. The most common mineral in this group is biotite. This product is equal to electrical, thermal and chemical insulation, as a grout in plastics and paints, fillers in plastics, in roofing and asphalt granular materials, and for making mica adhesive glass, drilling oil wells, making pads and electrodes. It is used.

Types of mica
Muscovite - Potassium-based mica, usually without a light green color
Flogopit - Magnesium-based mica, which is yellow to dark brown.
Vermiculite - Aqueous biotite found in the form of tan-yellow scales.
Lepidovite - mica based on lithium with a purple tint
Other less commercially valuable mica include xenavaldite (lithium-iron-based mica), which is a brownish-gray. Biotite (black mica based on cium - iron)
Versuelite (mica vanadium - potassium - magnesium) which can be green to brown.
