Teflon packing
First of all, let's examine the ingredients of this product to get acquainted with the basic characteristics of these products.
It is composed of two materials, asbestos and Teflon.
First of all, asbestos and its capabilities:
Asbestos is basically a silicate mineral. One of the reasons that the molecular shape of blade and crystal asbestos is the presence of igneous rock inside asbestos. The main constituents of this igneous rock are magnesium and silicon. Experts estimate this temperature tolerance at a maximum of 800 degrees, at working conditions: 550 to 650 degrees and at a minimum of up to 300 degrees Celsius, which is why asbestos is the raw material of many products. But the most important debate about asbestos is; Environmental damage of this product. Uncontrolled asbestos fibers and dust can cause a variety of respiratory diseases such as lung cancer in humans. Of course, the controlled type of these fibers, as well as the use of asbestos in places where humans do not interact, is not prohibited.
Teflon :
This polymer with a density of 2.2 grams per cubic centimeter and a melting point of 327 degrees Celsius is the best option to complete the sealing process in refractory packages.
Teflon asbestos refractory packing:
The asbestos used in the fibers of this packing is white asbestos, which is known as the best type of asbestos. A layer of Teflon, or P.T.F.E, is applied to each asbestos fiber. The presence of Teflon on the surface of asbestos fibers has turned this packing into a green asbestos sealing refractory pack. This means that the amount of asbestos damage in this packing has reached its lowest point and the amount of asbestos dust dispersion in this product has reached almost zero. The addition of Teflon to asbestos fibers in this packing maintains strength and also withstands more pressure. The heat tolerance of the main material of this packing, which is asbestos, is able to withstand a positive temperature of about 800 degrees Celsius, but the Teflon in the fibers of this refractory packing is up to 300 degrees Celsius. Of course, this product maintains its stability well up to minus 50 degrees Celsius. Teflon asbestos refractory packing easily maintains its strength in shafts with a speed of 10 meters per second.
Uses of asbestos refractory packing
Teflon:
Use in a variety of felt bowls
Used in a variety of crankshafts
Use in cooling valves
Use in pumps and valves
Use in low concentration chemicals and alkalis
Food industry, petrochemical industry, oil and gas
Acidic environments and ammonia vapor, etc ...
