Types of sealants
Sealants are products that are used for insulation, sealing and sealing. In fact, sealants fill the empty space between the parts and prevent fluids from entering and materials from leaving.
Sealants are made in different shapes and types with different raw materials, which are divided into 6 categories:
Silicone furnace sealant:
This sealant with its excellent adhesion property has many supporters and on the other hand it is also resistant to controlling pressures. This product can withstand impressive temperatures up to 1500 degrees Celsius.
Silicone sealant:
Silicone sealant made of silicone and has a heat tolerance of up to 300 degrees Celsius.
This sealant has excellent flexibility and the resistance of this product against dangerous rays such as ultraviolet and ozone, high mechanical strength and good chemical stability has made this sealant to be used in various fields such as food, medicine, automotive and electrical.
Liquid silicone sealant:
Has a higher heat resistance than silicone sealant; Which is estimated to be up to 350 degrees Celsius.
Rubber seals:
These sealants include rubber sealant or anti-acid rubber sheet and anti-oil rubber sheet, which we will discuss in the following Rajab:
Anti-acid rubber sheet:
This sheet has acceptable mechanical resistance, stability against hazardous rays, suitable for operation in any weather and has special capabilities such as electrical and acoustic insulation.
The maximum temperature that this product can withstand is up to 200 degrees Celsius.
Oil-resistant rubber sheet:
This black rubber sheet, in addition to heat resistance up to 120 degrees Celsius, has excellent durability in various fields, including resistance to dangerous rays, resistance to tear and resistance to chemicals.
In addition to the sealants mentioned above, there are two other products that are used for sealing, which we will briefly explain in the following.
packing:
Packings are among the products used for insulation. In general, this product has acceptable mechanical strength and significant temperature tolerance, and also has the ability to control pressures.
O-ring:
O-rings are called sealants and gaskets that are made of various types of rubber, silicone, etc.
This product can withstand temperatures from 80 to 450 degrees Celsius.
