- Silicone housing with excellent hydrophobicity. The excellent hydrophobicity of silicone allows the use of insulators even in highly polluted areas. High resistance to ultra-violet radiation, moisture, heat, frost determines the usage of silicone insulators in all climatic regions.
All the materials used in the production of insulators and finished products are tested according to IEC standards.
This could lead us to install more than 6 million installed composite insulators in operation in Iranian network.
In order to measure the penetration of composite insulators into the market and the reliability of the said insulators, the successor of CIGRE WG B2.21 will work on a questionnaire which will be sent to utilities worldwide. The responses to this questionnaire will form the basis of an additional survey which will update the previous questionnaires from 1990 and 2000.
