High carbon Tow wire
Tow wire is the least flexible type of tow wire, which is produced with only one strand. The towing rope is woven only with a standard structure, that is, by using wires with a completely equal diameter. The widely used weaves of tow wire include 1X7, 1X19, 1X35, which are often used in different diameters from 8 mm to 64 mm.
High grades of steel wire with high tensile strength are often used in the production of towing wire, i.e. steel with a tensile strength of 1770 N/mm2 and sometimes 1960 N/mm2. The restraining tow wire is often used to keep heavy weights in a specific position, examples of which are dams and bridges.
