Single-phase electric hoists
Overhead hoists are a very ideal solution for lifting loads. Hoists are produced in different working tonnages from 200 to 35 tons and are categorized in different types. The roof of the crane for lifting requires a powerful roof support that is determined by the lifting capacity of the crane. Some cranes are connected to the ceiling support through a hook, which only have the ability to lift the load vertically, and they become dual-purpose cranes. Other overhead cranes have a carriage or trolley that moves on overhead rails and become four-way cranes. Overhead cranes are classified into two main categories in terms of driving force.
Electric hoist ceiling crane: This series of ceiling cranes are used both as chain and wire rope. The driving force of electric cranes is used to drive an electric motor or an electric motor connected to the crane gearbox. Single-phase crane works by connecting to city electricity, while three-phase cranes, which have higher lifting capabilities, need industrial electricity. The three-phase electric crane is produced as a towing wire and a chain. A single-phase electric hoist is used as a chain. Examples of hoists and winches of single-phase wire are also found in the market.
