Square yarn
Rectangular asbestos yarn as one of the oldest thermal insulators after 80 years is still used in thermal conduction systems and is marketed. Asbestos refractory yarn is woven from long asbestos fibers in rectangular sections. This product is also known as asbestos refractory rope or asbestos refractory packing and is produced in two types, dusty and dust-free. Of course, Teflon refractory fibers are also used in this packing. The heat tolerance of this refractory rope is very good. Experts have estimated the temperature of the dust-free type to be between 250 and 350 degrees Celsius and the temperature of the dust-free type to be between 350 and 550 degrees Celsius. Of course, do not be disappointed if the temperature you need is higher, because rectangular asbestos yarn can withstand temperatures up to 700 degrees Celsius in certain conditions. Rectangular asbestos rope is a suitable thermal insulation for pipelines. However, it is not used when there is a risk of abrasion damage in very confined spaces and extra protective metal cladding. This refractory yarn is widely used in coke oven doors and between brick and steel, working frames in steel mills as well as in sealing boiler doors. Rectangular asbestos yarn can meet your need for a flexible yet dense thermal sealant to prevent leakage of a variety of gases, especially noble gases, as well as thermal expansion.
